After this, seeds are extracted from their fruits, which are used in foods, cosmetics and aromatic products. According to the data of the Indian Masala Board, about 40 percent of the vanilla flavor is used in the ice cream formed worldwide, causing tremendous demand in its market.
According to scientific studies, the price of vanilla seeds in the market ranges from Rs 40,000 to 50,000 per kg. Research has also revealed that Vanilla helps in strengthening the digestive system, increasing immunity and preventing problems like colds.
Brown soil is considered to be the most suitable for the cultivation of vanilla. According to experts, the pH level of soil for its cultivation should be between 6.5 and 7.5. This plant is a member of the Orchid family and its cylindrical vines grow rapidly with support. If farmers cultivate vanilla with modern techniques and proper care, they can earn high profits and become financially strong.
