Cultural heritage and adventure sports tableau has been ranked third in the People’s Choice Award category.
On the occasion of Republic Day, Uttarakhand’s “Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports” tableau was rewarded for securing third place in the People’s Choice Award category in the tableaux of various states. On Thursday, Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth presented the award at the National Rangshala Camp in New Delhi. The award was jointly received by Banshidhar Tiwari, Director General of Information and Public Relations Department on behalf of Uttarakhand and KS Chauhan, Team Leader/Joint Director of Tableau. This tableau was prepared on the theme “Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports” on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. During the Republic Day parade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shook hands and greeted the tableau of Uttarakhand.
This year Republic Day has been full of achievements for Uttarakhand. Cultural program competition is organized by the Government of India at the National Theater Camp in New Delhi, in which a party is given only three and a half minutes. In the stipulated time, programs based on the folk culture of your state have to be presented. In which, the artists of Uttarakhand presented the famous awareness singing and folk dance competition.
The glimpse of the folk culture of Uttarakhand was very much liked by the committee in this famous awareness singing and folk dance Chhapeli. Due to which Uttarakhand could get this award. After this, the tableau of Uttarakhand based on ‘Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports’ in the Republic Day parade on the duty path has also got third place in the country on the basis of people’s choice.
Since the formation of the state, Uttarakhand has received three awards in the Republic Day celebrations so far, in which Kedarkhand tableau got third place in the year 2021, Manaskhand tableau got first place in the year 2023 and cultural heritage and adventure game in the year 2025 Has been ranked third in the People’s Choice Award category. Pushkar Singh Dhami said that people from India and abroad have also become familiar with the folk culture of Uttarakhand along with “cultural heritage and adventure sports”. The Chief Minister has congratulated the state dwellers, officials of the information department, employees, the tableau makers and all the artists involved in the tableau for being selected for the award.
