Regarding Holi festival from Thursday night, the city’s head Ramadevi intersection, Ghantaghar intersection, Sachan Guest House Square, Site One Square, Bhouti bypass intersection, Indira Nagar Mor, Gol Square, Rajiv Petrol Pump Tiraha, Tatmil Square, Narona Chouraha, Dadas Nagar Square, IIT Gate, Barah Chauraha etc. A campaign was carried out against the drivers driving the vehicle after consuming drug addiction.
The Traffic Police Commissionerate took strict action against those who violated the rules during the checking campaign. The aim of the campaign is to prevent road accidents and ensure safety of citizens. There is an appeal to the citizens to follow the traffic rules and drive responsibly. A total of 47 drivers were processed under the Drink and Drive Campaign.
DCP Traffic Ravindra Kumar appealed to the residents of Kanpur to celebrate safe Holi by following traffic rules. Do not drive a car by drinking alcohol. Do not drive fast at the prescribed speed limit. Do not drive the vehicle in the wrong direction. Do not use mobile phones while driving. Do not drive a two -wheeler without a helmet. Avoid tripling and stunting on the bike. Make yourself and others’ journey safe by following traffic rules.
Vehicles parked along the road removed
ACP Traffic Krishna Kant conducted physical inspection of the parade intersection. During this, he gave instructions regarding traffic. A special campaign was carried out against GT Road, unauthorized heavy vehicles on national highways. TI Eastern Zone on the Kanpur-Prayagraj highway, TI Dakshin Zone removed heavy vehicles parked on the roadside on Bakarganj to Yashoda Nagar, TI West Zone. Action was taken on Rongside 310, Triple Ride to Wheeler 157, HSRP 31 on the instructions of high officials.
