Kanpur, Amrit thoughts. Under the Kanpur Metro Rail Project, the expansion of passenger services from Motijheel to Kanpur Central will be inaugurated soon. In this stretch, most of the system installations have been completed at the five underground Chuniganj, Naveen Market, Bada Square, Nayaganj and Kanpur Central Station.
On Thursday, the work of installing the ticket office machine (Tom) and Access Fair Office (EFO) machines in these stations was also completed. Along with this, the system of ticketing for travel from all these metro stations has been completed.
Automatic Fair Collection System (AFC) is used for fair collection during the commercial services of Kanpur Metro. Under this system, travel tickets require ticket office machine (TOM), Access Fair Office (EFO), Automatic Fair Collection Gate (AFC Gate) and ticket vending machine for travel tickets.
Tickets office machines (Tom) station are installed at the ticket counter while the Access Fair Office (EFO) station is installed in the control room. Today, the work of installing the ticket office machine (Tom) and Access Fair Office (EFO) machines at all five stations was completed. The metro said that in the five stations, 11 TOMs have been installed on ticket counters and 5 EFOs in station control papers.
Two TOM machines have been installed in the ticket counter of each station, while three TOM machines have been installed in the ticket counter of each station, while three TOM machines have been installed in the ticket counter of Kanpur Central Station. An EFO has been installed in the station control room of each station.
Director of UPMRC, Managing, said that, “Kanpur Metro team is preparing with full commitment to expand passenger service from Motijheel to Kanpur Central.” After getting NOC from CMRS, passenger services from Motijheel to Kanpur Central will soon be expanded.
AFC Gate has been done first installed
Earlier in January itself, ticket vending machines and automatic fair collection gate (AFC Gate) were installed at all 5 stations. A total of 40 ticket vending machines have been installed at 8 ie 5 stations at each station, where passengers can get their own tickets without any help.
Metro’s NCMC Go Smart Card can also be recharged with this machine. A total of 59 Automatic Fair Collection Gate (AFC Gate) has also been installed at all 5 stations for testing of passengers tickets and admission and exit in paid areas.
QR ticket arrangement for metro travel
There is a system of tickets with QR code and NCMC Go Smart Card for traveling from Kanpur Metro. Passengers buy tickets from tickets at ticket counter or stations. There is also a system of official mobile app of Kanpur Metro to buy tickets sitting at home.
This app named ‘Kanpur Metro’ is available on both ‘Android’ and ‘iOS’ on platforms. After booking the ticket, the QR code is generated on the app itself, which can be scanned at the AFC gate at the metro station and can enter the station and travel by metro.
