Shaheed Sher Ali was hanged on 11 March 1872 due to the murder of the then Viceroy of the British rule. Shaheedajam Bhagat Singh called the revolutionary incident done by Sher Ali as the biggest inspiring action. Mayo was murdered by Shaheed and Veer Sher Ali Afridi in Andaman and Nicobar, where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose hoisted the tricolor.
Deepak said that the legacy of our country is that ancestors like Azad, Ashfaq, Subhash, Abid Hasan Safari and Sher Ali fought together for independence. Subhash-Sheer Ali Pakhwada is being celebrated to strengthen this heritage. Pro. Manoj Pandey said that students and new generations will be equipped with knowledge and ideas so that they can fight national problems like narrow communalism, poisonous casteism.
Principal of Islamia Degree College Prof. Dilshad Ahmed stressed on Hindu-Muslim unity and said that it is our duty to save the country from cruel fanaticism and spinning. Many speakers including Naga Chaudhary, Daulat Ali, Anubhav Mishra gave their views in the seminar.
