In Sector-99 of Noida, the chairman of a society has asked the owners who have given flat rent to unmarried couples to submit a marriage certificate or consent letter of their family. The move has been taken after the death of the 23 -year -old law student, which fell from the 7th floor of the Supreme Tower Society in Sector 99 on January 11 this year. The investigation of this case is going on.
However, Supreme Towers Apartment Owners Association (STOA) Secretary S.S. Kushwaha said, “This is not the opinion of the board, Chairman VN Subramaniam himself has broadcast this instruction.”
VN Subramaniam, president of the Supreme Towers Society’s Apartment Owners Association, sent an email to the flat owners on 21 January, in which he has been asked to submit the said documents to the office of the association by or before January 31.
The email states, “Unmarried people (boys or girls) should ensure to submit detailed information including their address and approval of family members. And if they are living with members of unmarried opposite sex, then they have to submit their family marriage certificate or formal acceptance letter. ”
On the condition of anonymity, an employee said that this is a good decision to avoid the disturbance made by unmarried people in the society.
He said, “Unmarried boys/girls give fake certificates of their parents and based on it they become tenants. And after some time some accidents happen. ”
