The shares included in the Sensex were in loss of IndusInd Bank, Infosys, Bajaj Finserv, Mahindra, Jomato, Hindustan Unilever, Power Grid, Axis Bank, UltraTech Cement, Adani Ports and Tata Consultancy Services.
On the other hand, benefits in profit include Sun Pharmaceuticals, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, HCL Technologies, Maruti Suzuki India, Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Industries, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Titan. Jijit Financial Services Research Head Vinod Nair said, “Despite the huge selling in the US and other Asian markets amidst the concerns of economic softening due to the trade war, the domestic market is shown signs of gradual improvement.”
Nair said, “The market is seeing relatively low volatility due to the softening of shares, fall in crude oil prices, decrease in dollar index and bounce in domestic companies.” He said that investors are eyeing the data on retail inflation issued this week. ” This will indicate the major interest rate cut. Hangseng of Hong Kong remained stable. China’s Shanghai composite was in profit. US markets declined by four percent on Monday. Global oil standard Brent crude gained 0.71 percent to $ 69.77 per barrel. According to the stock market data, foreign institutional investors sold shares worth Rs 485.41 crore on Monday while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 263.51 crore. On Monday, the BSE Sensex was broken by 217.41 points, while NSE Nifty fell by 92.20 points.
