In Bangladesh, Shariful’s father Rohul Amin is trying to give a political color to the case, the accused’s father is said to be Amin Khalida Jia’s party BNP workers. Amin, describing the son as innocent, threatened that he would raise the issue at diplomatic level. Then he also said on this matter that he is also in touch with a big leader of the country. Amin claimed that the person seen in CCTV is not his son. Defending his son, Amin insisted that his son has been implicated in the incident. Mohammad Rohul Amin Fakir also claimed that pictures of a long -haired suspect seen in CCTV footage do not match his son. However, the police have claimed that Shariful Islam had changed its hulia after committing the crime. He also got his hair cut off with a salon.
Police is looking for more links
During a press conference held by the Mumbai Police in the past, it was made clear that Saif Ali Khan was attacked by Shariful Islam. In such a situation, he is the real accused in this whole case. However, the police officials have also made it clear that their teams are also investigating whether there was anyone other than Shariful in this case. Along with this, the claims of police Shariful being Bangladesh citizens and other possible aspects related to the attack are also being investigated.
Accused in judicial custody
The 30 -year -old Bangladeshi citizen, arrested for attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan with a knife, was sent to judicial custody for 14 days on Wednesday. The Bandra Magistrate Court said that there is no new basis to increase the police custody of the accused. Accused Mohammad Shariful Islam was produced in the Bandra Magistrate Court after the end of police custody. The police demanded two more remand for investigation, but the court rejected it. The court said that the accused was in police custody for more than ten days and records show that the investigation has been completed. If any new evidence comes further, the police can ask for remand of the accused afresh.
Accused Bangladeshi citizen
According to the police, the accused is a Bangladeshi citizen. After illegally entering India, he took his name to ‘Bijoy Das’ from Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad. The accused was arrested from Thane. On 16 January on the 12th floor of an apartment in Bandra, an intruder had repeatedly stabbed Saif Ali Khan (54) with a knife. The actor injured in the attack had to undergo emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital. He was in the hospital for five days after surgery.
