A public interest litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court in the case of stampede death in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. The petition has demanded a status report on the stampede at Prayagraj Mahakumbh and action against the officials responsible for this. Supreme Court lawyer Vishal Tiwari has filed this PIL. In the petition, all the states have demanded the opening of facility centers in the Kumbh Mela area so that non -Hindi speaking people can get the facility.
It has been demanded in the petition that VIP movement should be limited in such events, maximum space should be kept for the common man. The petition has demanded that the states be informed by the states on mobile, mobile, WhatsApp to avoid stampede in large religious events and to give correct information to the people.
In big religious events like Kumbh, all the states have also been demanded to set up a medical help desk in Kumbh for the convenience of non -Hindi speaking people coming from other states of the country.
How the accident happened in Mahakumbh

On the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the people of devotees gathered to take a strong desire to take a Amrit bath at Sangam nose. Everyone wanted to be a partner of this holy moment. Due to this, an unexpected crowd gathered there.
- The devotees who had arrived to bathe on the day of Mauni Amavasya, camped on the banks of barricading and camped. The administration had reserved a separate route for various akharas starting at 5 am for the Amrit bath.
- Around 1 o’clock in the night… The crowd on the way for bathing exceeded its capacity. According to the police and administration plan, they were making arrangements to take people from barricading to the ghat and bring back. However, unexpected crowds were out of control.
- Around 1:45 pm, people uncontrolled and jumped barricading and started going towards Sangam. People who jumped barricading in this stampede fell on those families who were sleeping there. After this, the crowd suddenly started trampling people, which injured many people. Due to the arrival of pilgrims, 30 people died and 60 others were injured in a stampede.
