When did the first bulletin start
On 15 August 1965, Doordarshan’s broadcasting started from the studio auditorium of Akashvani Bhavan. Doordarshan was started under All India Radio. The first bulletin was only 5 minutes which was read by the statue Puri.
Who is the statue Puri
Pratima Puri is a resident of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. His real name is Vidya Rawat. Pratima Puri started her career from All India Radio Station in Shimla. After working in All India Radio in Shimla, he was sent to Delhi due to a strong voice. The statue came to Delhi and became the first news reader in the country.
