Credit cards related to UPI will increase loan limit to Rs 30,000: Finance Minister

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Saturday that the ‘Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana’ will be given a new look for the street vendors. Under this, the credit card limit will be increased to Rs 30,000 with credit cards related to banks and UPI. Presenting the eighth consecutive budget in the Lok Sabha, Sitharaman said that this scheme has benefited more than 68 lakh street vendors through relief from high interest loans in informal sector.
He said, “On the basis of this success, this scheme will be given a new look and the credit card limit will be increased to Rs 30,000 with banks and UPI-related credit cards. There is a special facility to provide affordable loans to the tracks.
