Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the budget on Saturday, announced ‘Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhyan Krishi Yojana’. Under this, 100 districts with low yield, modern crop intensity and less than average loan norms will be included. While presenting his eighth consecutive budget, the Finance Minister said that 1.7 crore farmers will benefit from this scheme. He said that the government will start rural prosperity and flexible programs, focusing on youth, women and farmers.
The government will also start a six -year program for self -sufficiency in pulses, in which special attention will be paid to tur, urad and lentils. Sitharaman said that a comprehensive program will also be started to increase the production of vegetables and fruits and provide beneficial prices.
