The Lok Sabha proceedings started with uproar today. Opposition MPs created a ruckus over the Mahakumbh accident and demanded a discussion. Opposition MPs reached in front of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla shouting slogans. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla told the MPs who created a ruckus that if the people have chosen you for uproar, if you want to run the house, then sit on the seach.
The motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will be discussed. BJP MP from South Delhi Ramvir Singh Bidhuri will submit a vote of thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha. While Rajya Sabha BJP MP Kiran Chaudhary will start the debate on the vote of thanks. Neeraj Shekhar will support the proposal. Apart from this, Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) President Jagdambika Pal will present the report of JPC on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 in the Lok Sabha. In this report, views and evidence on various aspects of the bill are presented. This report will be introduced in both Hindi and English languages.
Let me tell you that the budget session started on 31 January with the President’s address. On the first day of the session, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey. On the second day i.e. February 1, the Finance Minister presented the budget for the financial year 2024-25.
