Lucknow, Amrit thoughts. The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board, Monis Ali Siddiqui has not yet taken over. There is a discussion in the board office that Monis Ali is unwell. For this reason, he is not taking charge. Therefore, the function of the board has stayed the same as before in the absence of the CEO.
Last week, the High Court ordered to appoint a full -time CEO in both Shia and Sunni Waqf Board. The government then appointed Monis Ali Siddiqui as CEO of Sunni Central Waqf Board. The responsibility of CEO of Shia Waqf Board was given to Zeeshan Rizvi.
Monica S. Garg, Additional Chief Secretary, Minority Welfare and Waqf Department, issued an order confirming the appointments to the post of CEO of both the boards. Zeeshan Rizvi has previously fulfilled the responsibility of CEO of Shia Waqf Board. Monis Ali Siddiqui, newly appointed CEO of Sunni Central Waqf Board, was currently holding the post of Finance Controller of Cooperative Societies. It is said that he has been relieved from his post. Ever since his appointment, staff are waiting for his joining in the board. As of now, he has not taken charge of the board yet. It is being said that he is unwell and is undergoing treatment. He will be able to handle work here only in the event of health.
On the other hand, other officers and employees of the board say that important work will move forward only after the arrival of the CEO here. Currently, his joining is awaited.
