5 people were killed and 17 were seriously injured when a bus carrying pilgrims carrying pilgrims in Dang district of Gujarat on Sunday morning. Police gave this information. Superintendent of Police in -charge SG Patil said that the accident happened at around 4.15 am when the driver lost control of the bus near Saputara Hill Station. He said that the bus carrying 48 pilgrims broke and fell into a ditch about 35 feet deep.
Rescue operation work completed
The official said that five people- two women and three men- died on the spot. “5 pilgrims died and 17 others were seriously injured, who have been admitted to Ahwa’s Civil Hospital,” the official said. Some others have suffered minor injuries. The rescue operation is almost complete.
He said that the accident occurred when the bus was going to Dwarka in Gujarat with 48 pilgrims from Trimbakeshwar in Maharashtra. The official said that the pilgrims were from Guna, Shivpuri and Ashok Nagar districts of Madhya Pradesh.
