Four -year -old Ba B.Ed and B.Sc B.ED course closed

BA B.ED and B.Sc B.Ed Course Closed: The Maharashtra government has closed the B.Ed and BSc-B.Ed (integrated) courses of the year from the next session. Instead of this, the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) will be implemented, which will be on four years. The officials have announced on Tuesday that it has been said that a new course has been started by abolishing BA B.ED and B.Sc B.Ed course. This new course is a four -year teacher training program. Also, this course is in line with the guidelines of NCTE.
This is how admission in this course will be found
According to the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET), an admission of national level organized by NTA will have to be given to take admission in this course of ITEP. That is, the entrance examination that is taken for the first year B. B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed course has been canceled. This course has been completely discontinued from NCT 2025-26 session. In February last year, NCT issued a notice in this regard.
The application process has started
The National Testing Agency has started the online application process for the National Common Entrance Test (NCT 2025) from 20 February 2025. Through this entrance examination, there will be admission in new four-year ITEP (Integrated Teacher Education Program) in different institutions of the country. Under NEP 2020, only four-year B.Ed or four-year integrated teacher education program (ITEP) degree holder will be able to become teachers from 2030.
