Police arrested four women living illegally in Thane city of Maharashtra. An official gave this information on Thursday. The official said that the owner who gives his house on rent to illegal migrants is being searched.
A police official said that while taking action on the basis of secret information, officials of the Human Anti -Trafficking Cell raided the rehabilitation ‘Chawl’ of the municipal body located in Manorapada on Tuesday evening. He told that four Bangladeshi women between the ages of 38 to 50 years were living in a room there. During the investigation, she could not produce any valid documents to live in India.
The official said that after arresting those four women, the police have registered a case against them and the landlord under the relevant legal provisions.
