Amrit Vichar, Lucknow : The Lucknow bench of the High Court has approved his bail plea, giving big relief to Congress MP Rakesh Rathore in the rape case. However, he will not be released at the moment as the police has also added Section 69 of BNS in the case.
Under this section, the accused will have to file a new bail petition. On the Congress MP, the victim has lodged an FIR in Kotwali Nagar of Sitapur for raping, threatening and protesting.
The victim alleges that the Congress MP had physically abused for four years by pretending to be married and luring help in political career. The accused had to go to jail after the anticipatory bail plea of the accused was rejected by the High Court on 29 January.
