Lakhimpur Kheri, Amrit thoughts: Anmol Puri alias Bala, the main accused of the Dev Seth murder case in the city on Monday evening, and two of his associates have been arrested by the police on Wednesday and revealed the murder. Police claim that Anmol Puri alias Bala shot and killed Dev Seth in a sense of revenge. The police recovered the invoice of the three and sent the trio used in the murder.
Dev Seth alias Amogh (25) son Bharat Seth, a resident of Arjun Purva, Seth Colony of the city, came to his shop right in front of Mishrana police post at around 7 pm on Monday evening. Meanwhile, the youths riding on the bikes surrounded him and ran away from the police post Mishrana and shot him and shot him to death. The shop employee Aditya alias Roshan Kashyap (18) son Dinesh Kashyap resident Hathipur Baksa Market was also injured due to the bullet.
Dev Seth was studying BBA while staying in Lucknow. The Sadar Kotwali police had nominated Anmol Puri Bala on the Tahrir of the deceased’s father and filed a report against several other unknowns. The police were constantly trying to arrest the accused after the murder took place. Police arrested the main accused Anmol Puri alias Bala, resident of Dareri village of police station Dareri from outside the railway station of the city on Wednesday, Shantanu Awasthi, resident of Sarawati Devi Colony and Utkarsh Singh, resident of village Camibhud in police station Mitauli.
An 315 bore pistol, two live cartridges and a khok cartridge used in the incident have been recovered at the spot of Anmol Puri aka Bala. The police claim that both groups were once united, but two were torn apart due to domination. The main accused Anmol Puri was beaten fiercely at the Naurangabad intersection by the mob on charges of bike theft a few days ago. Someone made a video of this and went viral on social media.
After the video went viral, Anmol considered the deceased Dev Seth responsible for this and started having anger with him. Due to this enmity, he along with three of his colleagues had beaten up Rajapur resident Digvansh Manar near Bhansadia. After this, Anmol shared a threatening post on social media and carried out the incident with his colleagues. The police invoiced the accused Anmol, his companions Shantanu Awasthi and Utkarsh Singh and produced them in the court, from where the court has sent all three to jail.
