Lakhimpur Kheri, Amrit thoughts: The guards of the two countries posted on the Indo-Nepal border met on the border and held mutual discussions about security and exchanged information.
On Tuesday, a meeting between the soldiers of Bashi, the 49th Corps of SSB and Nepal APF personnel, was held at the International Border Pillar No. 200 on the India-Nepal border located in Sampurnanagar police station area, in which Bashi SSB outpost in-charge Assistant Mahavir Singh and Nepal APF Inspector Mahendra Kumar Bam were also present.
In view of the frequent smuggling incidents on the border, the soldiers of the two countries discussed its prevention and maintaining peace keeping in mind the increasing disputes on the border. Also, necessary guidelines were given to the soldiers posted on the border.
The soldiers of the two countries hold a joint meeting from time to time to maintain peace on the border with mutual coordination and to prevent illegal activities. The meeting was attended by SSB chief constables Umed Singh, Satnam, Mahila Rakshi Deepa Singh, Srishti Chaudhary and SI Hari Giri, Laxmi Shah, Nirmala Joshi were present on behalf of Nepal APF.
