A devotee Sudha Dubey said, “This temple is very special. It is a very mythological temple. This is the first revered deity of Kali Yuga. This is the worship of Kalsarp Yoga here. When we visit Prayagraj after traveling to all four Dham, we come to Prayagraj and take a bath here , Till we do not see Takshak Maharaj, our journey is not successful.
This Takshak Tirtha Temple is also famous as “Bada Shivala” due to being situated on the banks of Yamuna. The story of resting Takshak Nag is also prevalent here.
