Rakesh Trivedi, a resident of Khersa of Bidhanu, married daughter Vandana on 16 February 2017 to Khujkipur Chaubepur resident Kushal Tiwari. After marriage, he started living in the e-block of Panki. After some time, wife Vandana started harassing Vandana over the demand for cash in dowry. The couple’s daughter was born in 2018.
After this, the harassment of husband and in -laws continued to grow further. At two o’clock on the night of 29 June 2022, it was reported that the daughter was injured. He is admitted to Halat Hospital. Doctors reported that he had died due to head injury. After this, Rakesh Trivedi wrote a report against Kushal Tiwari.
ADGC Pradeep Sahu said that the court raised several questions before the girl, which she gave accurate answers. After which his testimony was recorded. On the basis of the testimony of the girl, Additional Sessions Judge Sudama Prasad punished the girl’s father Kushal and punished with life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000. 45 days imprisonment for not paying the fine is sentenced to additional payment.
