Regarding Mahakumbh stampede, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that an unfortunate accident occurred on the Sangam coast. We announce financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the family of each deceased who lost their lives in the accident on behalf of the state government. The Judicial Commission will investigate the matter. After investigating the entire matter, the Commission will submit its report to the state government within the time limit. Chief Secretary and DGP will go to Prayagraj and will look at all the issues with further bathing.
CM Yogi said that more than 90 people have been seriously injured in the stampede. 30 people have lost their lives. At the same time, 36 devotees are undergoing treatment, the remaining injured have been taken with their family members. We are in constant contact with the fair administration, police, NDRF and SDRF, whatever facilities could have been possible, it has been provided there. At the same time, Kumbh Prasasan and other state governments have issued a helpline for devotees, so that they can easily take a dip in the city of Sangam Prayagraj without any hassle.
