Today, counting of municipal elections is being held in various districts of Haryana. In many cities including Karnal, Sonipat, Nuh, Sirsa and Gurugram, strong security arrangements have been made for counting votes. In Karnal, the counting of municipal elections is being held in Pandit Chiranjilal Government College located in Sector 14. The counting of votes has started from 8 am, in which counting of votes for the post of 20 wards and mayor is going on. BJP candidates have already been elected unopposed in two wards. Renu Bala Gupta from BJP, while Manoj Wadhwa is in the fray for the Congress for the post of Mayor.
Heavy police force deployed at the counting site
The counting of the mayor by -election held in Sonepat is being held at Bits College, Mohana. Here 20 tables have been set up for counting and adequate security arrangements have been made. Sonipat recorded the lowest turnout, which has made the competition more interesting. The counting of Tawadu municipal elections is going on in the Model Culture School campus at Bypass. A heavy police force has been deployed at the counting site. 15 ward councilors and a chairperson are being selected here.

Votes are being counted for the post of 32 ward councilors and chairman here. For the first time in Sirsa, the public has voted directly for the post of chairman. The main contest is between the Congress and the NDA alliance. The counting of municipal elections in Gurugram continues amidst strict security arrangements. More than 550 policemen are deployed here, while more than 100 policemen have been kept in the reserve. In every district, the administration has made strict security arrangements regarding counting.

10 ACP votes in Gurugram are present at the counting site, while police forces have also been deployed in Karnal, Sirsa and Sonipat.
