The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) gave this information. The federal agency said that Haryana Police was looking for Joginder Gyong in a criminal conspiracy and murder case registered in Panipat. Officials said that he was handed over to Delhi Police as soon as he landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, because the police was looking for him here too.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police said that Gyong was arrested by the immigration bureau (PBI) of the Philippines from the city of Baikalode, taking action on the request of India’s extradition.
Delhi Police said that according to PBI officials, Gyong has been identified as an ‘Indian-Nepali citizen’ and is a prominent member of the separatist terrorist network.
Gyong was sentenced to life imprisonment in Haryana for the crime of possessing illegal weapons. Police said that while on parole, he murdered in Panipat in December 2017 and later fled abroad.
