Meena Kumari married the famous director Kamal Amrohi in 1951 but the marriage did not last long. Sour in relationships, something like this reached divorce. After separating from her husband in 1964, Meena Kumari started living in Tanhai. It is said that after this, she came close to Dharmendra. This was the period when Meena Kumari was on her career peak, while Dharmendra was in the initial phase. According to reports, during the affair, Meena Kumari gave Dharmendra many films. On the height of a career, the actress had given a condition to take Dharmendra in the film in front of many directors.
Love story left incomplete
When Dharmendra stepped into Bollywood, he was married. At an early age, he was married to Prakash Kaur and there were four children. It is said that while staying close to Meena Kumari, Dharmendra got many films and also succeeded. Due to being more busy with work, there was a distance between the two, especially after the success of the film Phool and thorns, Dharmendra’s attitude changed a lot. Meena Kumari and Dharmendra worked together in many films. The two appeared together for the first time in the 1964 film ‘Main Bhi Girl Hoon’. Even after this, both of them also appeared on the big screen in films like Purnima, Mainjhali Didi, Flowers and Stones, Sandalwood Ka Cradle and Bahar Ki Manzil.
