American filmmaker and New York Times journalist Adam Elik has shared a video, which has now become a topic of discussion. In this video, Indian passengers are seen trying to remove their belongings from the overhead compartment of the flight even after repeated warnings. The video begins with a text insert, which says, ‘India’s textbook landing for the first time.’
In the video, passengers traveling on several flights are seen trying to remove their belongings from the overhead compartment, while a female crew member repeatedly asks them to sit and close the seat belt. A male employee also makes the same announcement, after which all the passengers go back to their seats.
Elik wrote in the caption of the post, “Classic landing in India.” In the video, he also told that when the aircraft was still running on the runway, the passengers got up from their seats. Elik shared this video a few days ago. Since then, it has received more than 1,111 likes and more than 75,000 views. In the comment section, users have given mixed reactions. While some people agreed with the filmmaker, others criticized the video to call him “Classic Indian Landing”. Some users also noted how the “male voice” was successful while the female voice was ignored.
One user wrote, “It is difficult to ignore the fact that the male voice was immediately successful while many requests in the female voice were completely unheard. As an Indian woman, I find it very upset.” The other wrote, “Lack of civil sentiment, selfishness, this country is full of such legends.” The third wrote, “Absolutely embarrassing. Seeing it feels embarrassed.”
However, a user wrote, “I have gone to America 13 times and I have found that American people do the same at least 8 to 10 times, so please do not consider any one incident to be normal.” Another wrote, “It is not about a particular country @Adamellick. I live in the UK and the same situation here. If you roam a little around the world, you will know.”
