The Election Commission has prevented the BJP -led Central Government from making special announcements for Delhi in the Union Budget (Budget 2025), but many people for the middle class have many people to be held on February 5. Elections are seen as possible steps in the possible reversal.
While presenting the Union Budget 2025-26, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that no income tax will have to be paid on income up to Rs 12 lakh annually. The purpose of this step is to give great relief to the middle class. The Finance Minister said, “I am happy to declare that under the new system, no income tax will be payable up to Rs 12 lakh (ie special rate of capital profit like income, apart from income of Rs 1 lakh per month). ”
BJP leaders told big relief
There are 40 lakh income tax payers in Delhi. With the announcement made by the Narendra Modi-led government in the 2025-26 budget, the BJP will try to get the middle class votes, which has been an important demographic in the Delhi elections.
BJP leaders described this move as a big relief for the middle class and said that this will strengthen the party’s support among the middle class in the national capital. BJP’s Delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva said that this is an important declaration, which will increase the trust of the middle class in the BJP.
He said, “We have already made many announcements for the middle class. We will continue to do a lot for them in future too. People with an annual income of Rs 12 lakh will have a significant impact on the Delhi assembly elections. “Sachdeva said,” There are a large number of taxpayers in Delhi who will get benefits and it is a budgetary gift for the middle class. ”
Elections will be held in Delhi on February 5 and counting will be held on February 8. Since 1998, the BJP, out of power in Delhi, has been making every effort to remove the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal, which has been ruling Delhi since 2015.
