Budget 2025: 10 lakh crore rupees will be spent for development of infrastructure

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Saturday that for the development of infrastructure, states will be provided Rs 1.5 lakh crore for 50 years interest-free loan. Presenting the Union Budget 2025-26 in the Lok Sabha, Sitharaman said that after the success of the first assetal mamination scheme announced in 2021, the second scheme will be launched for the period of 2025-30. In this, capital of Rs 10 lakh crore will be imposed on new infrastructure projects.
How the projects will be started
The Finance Minister said that regulatory and fiscal steps will be repaired to support the asset mileage scheme. He said that every ministry related to infrastructure will bring a proposal to implement these projects in a period of three years. These projects can be implemented through public-private participation. The Finance Minister said in his speech, “States will also be encouraged to take steps in this direction. States can seek help from IEPDF (Bharat Infrastructure Development Fund) Scheme to prepare a PPP proposal related to it. ”
