Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made a big announcement for women in the budget and said that the government will start a loan of Rs 2 crore for five lakh women, scheduled castes and scheduled tribe entrepreneurs who started enterprises for the first time. While presenting the Union Budget for 2025-26, the Finance Minister also said that a manufacturing mission will be set up for SMEs and big industries. Apart from this, the government will take convenient measures to increase the productivity of labor-dominated areas. He said that the loan guarantee ‘cover’ will be doubled to Rs 20 crore and the guarantee fee will be reduced to one percent. Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 scheme capable to strengthen the nutrition of women and children will also be started. Under Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0, 8 crore children and 1 crore pregnant women, mothers and 20 lakh teenagers are being given nutritional support. This will provide better nutrition facilities to children and women.
