In Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday, a boat filled with people in a major accident overturned into the Ganges river. About 60 people were riding on the boat. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that devotees from Odisha were riding in the boat. He informed that all the devotees on the boat are safe in the accident. After receiving information about the accident, he spoke to the top officials of Uttar Pradesh and inquired.
According to the information, this incident took place near the Ganges across the Maan Mandir Ghat in Varanasi. The devotees of Odisha were riding in a boat and visiting the Ganges river. Meanwhile, his boat got hit by another boat. The relief is that all the riders in the boat were wearing a life jacket. The NDRF and the water police reached the spot as soon as the information of the incident rescued all the people.
