Bareilly, Amrit thoughts: In the last month of the financial year, on the one hand, the government is warning the municipal officials on warning to meet the target of recovery of house tax, on the other hand, cases of paying millions to the big defaulters by changing the ID of the bills in the tax department are starting to come up. After this, the Municipal Commissioner has issued a warning of strict action to all the officers and employees of the tax department.
Golmaal in house tax bills started after the GIS survey, but now the game has gained momentum in the last month of the financial year. In this, their old ID is being abolished without the permission of the competent officer to benefit the big taxpayers. So far, in three such big cases, Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar has come to the information of Maurya, who is rigging the bills of a shop, factory and shopping mall and reducing millions of money. In these cases, an officer of the tax department along with the computer operator is suspected to have a breakup.
Interestingly, this game is going on in the tax department of the Municipal Corporation at the same time when the sword of action on the employees is also hanging on the officials employees. The tax department has been able to meet only 50 percent of the recovery target. The government is receiving a warning of continuous action if the target is not met. The salary of the Chief Tax Assessment Officer has been stopped.
There were millions and millions of tax bills …
So much rigging ..! No property from Zone 4 to Zone 1, some out of Municipal Corporation limits
In Zone-4, the property ID number 0913704008257702 of Ana-resident (shop) (shop) category was outstanding house tax of 13.41 lakh, but when notice was given by the Municipal Corporation on this ID, the tax amount was reduced to Rs 30,697 in it. Not only this, this ID was shown to be in Zone-1 instead of Zone-4 with the connivance of a computer operator and an officer.
Similarly, in the ID of a factory and a shopping mall, the bills of crores were reduced considerably. Apart from this, some such cases are also being told in which the buildings have been shown in the countryside boundary by canceling the GIS ID and their bill has been zero. On the contrary, bills have been released showing shops to many empty plots and they are not being corrected.
Bills also in the name of amending bills
Bareilly: After hearing the objections after the submission of self -form form in the Municipal Corporation, there is also a breakup in registering details on the software. There have been cases of reducing the actual assessment of property and feeding. Tax arrears are also being messed up. Tax is being imposed after many years, so that the record of old dues can be abolished.
These disturbances are also happening easily because the GIS survey agency has not included the old arrears on a large scale. Due to this, information about the old dues of many big buildings is not available.
Warning letters have been issued to revenue inspectors and employees of all zones along with tax department officials. It has been clear that if a tax file is fed on the computer without approved without competent level, action will be taken against other employees including computer operators. – Sanjeev Kumar Maurya, Municipal Commissioner
Tax department is not listening to councilors
