Bank closed on March 13 and 14?
On the occasion of Holi in 2025, RBI has released a holiday calendar about bank holidays. According to RBI, in March 2025, banks will be closed in various states for 14 days in total (Bank Holiday in March 2025).
According to RBI’s bank holiday list, banks will be closed in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand on March 13 on the day of Holika Dahan. At the same time, on March 14, on the day of Holi, banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Orissa, Chandigarh, Sikkim, Assam, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Bengal, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Goa, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar.
However, banks will remain open in most states on March 15 (Saturday) as this is the third Saturday of the month, which is working day. But banks may remain closed on 15 March in some states, such as Tripura, Orissa and Manipur.

- March 13 (Thursday) – Banks will be closed in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand due to Holika Dahan.
- March 14 (Friday) – On the day of Holi, there will be bank holiday in many states, such as Gujarat, Odisha, Chandigarh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Bihar etc.
- March 15 (Saturday) – On the second day of Holi/Yaosang, banks in Tripura, Odisha and Manipur will remain closed, the rest can remain open.
- March 16 (Sunday) – Weekend holiday will be held in all banks of the country.
