Bahraich, amrit vichar: The accused of the murder, a resident of Palarbagh of Thana Dargah Sharif in the district, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the first Additional District and Sessions Judge on Wednesday. The court has also punished the accused with a penalty of one lakh.
ADGC Criminal Pramod Kumar Singh said that the police of Dargah police station of the city had filed a case on April 3, 2018, for killing his wife for waiting for a resident of Palarbagh in the police station area. The then Police Station RP Yadav filed a charge sheet in the court in the case. In the trial, the first Additional District and Sessions Judge Pawan Kumar Sharma II, while completing the hearing, reserved his decision.
On March 12, the judge completed his order proceedings in the trial and convicted the accused and sentenced him to life imprisonment in the murder of his wife. The judge has also punished the accused with a fine of one lakh. The accused will have to face the punishment of imprisonment for one year for not paying the amount of penalty.
