Chief Guest Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi also attacked the SP government. He said that the income of farmers in the BJP government has doubled and so far 52 thousand metric tons of crops have been purchased.
The Chief Guest Agriculture Minister said that in the SP government, farmers were not paid sugarcane for two years and sugarcane payment of Rs 14000 crore was stopped. After coming to power, our government paid the sugarcane of all farmers on time. Sugarcane mills have increased capacity. The Agriculture Minister said that in the SP government, the MSP used to purchase 7 MT crop and our government purchased 52 thousand metric tonnes of crop on MSP.
It was informed that in the last years, the Agriculture Department distributed minicits of crops like jowar, millet, ragi, kodo and Sawa to farmers in the last years. Also, he also instructed to increase the production and area of pulses and oilseeds. MLA Ramchandra Yadav said that the government has brought many schemes to enrich the farmers and farmers should take full advantage of them. District Agriculture Officer OP Mishra informed the farmers about various crops including paddy, coarse grains. Progressive female farmer Sabina Khatoon said that traditional farming is usually done by farmers, but technology is required in this modern era, they insisted on hydrochloric farming.
