New Delhi:
Ai jobs: Artificial Intelligence (AI) sector is going to flood in India in the coming years. According to a recent report, by 2027, more than 23 lakh posts will be filled in AI sector in India. This is not only a major economic possibility for the country, but will also bring new employment opportunities. This report of Ben & Co. states that AI Pratibha Pool in India is expected to increase to 12 lakhs, which will give more than 10 lakh employees a chance to learn skills again.
It has also been mentioned in the report that the lack of AI talent in India remains a major challenge. Ben & Co. partner Saikat Banerjee said, “India has a unique opportunity to become a global AI talent center, but by 2027, job opportunities may be 1.5-2 times more than available talent.” This means that it is very important to recover the existing employees and increase their skills so that the increasing demand can be met.
AI jobs status globally
Globally, AI -related job posting has increased by 21 percent every year since 2019, while the salary has seen an annual increase of 11 percent. However, there has been no significant increase in the number of qualified candidates. Due to this, the lack of AI talents around the world is increasing, which is affecting the pace of adopting AI. This situation is also a matter of concern for India, because preparation is necessary at the local level to meet the global demand.
AI Talent shortage in America and Europe
According to the report, one of every two AI jobs in the US by 2027 can remain vacant. There will be a demand for more than 1.3 million jobs in the next two years, but the supply is likely to be limited to only 6,45,000. This means that 7,00,000 employees will need again training. At the same time, the situation in Germany is more serious, where by 2027, 70 percent of AI jobs can remain vacant. Only 62,000 professionals will be available for 1,90,000-2,19,000 jobs in Germany.
Challenges also in Britain and Australia
UK will have only 1,05,000 employees available for 2,55,000 AI jobs by 2027, while in Australia, only 84,000 experts will be present against 1,46,000 jobs. There is a possibility of shortage of more than 60,000 AI professionals in both countries. This globally deepens the AI talent crisis.
Golden opportunity for India
This is a golden opportunity for India to establish itself as a global center of AI talent. For this, it is necessary to re -train the existing workforce and prepare new talent. If India takes the right step in this direction, it will not only be able to fulfill its demand, but will also contribute globally.
