On Tuesday, dignitaries of Hindu and Muslim community were present in a meeting of the Peace Committee with the police and administration in Ramnagar, Lalkuan and Kaladhungi along with the Kotwali auditorium. In the meeting, people of both communities were made aware of the possible situations. City Magistrate AP Bajpai said that it was decided in the meeting that people of the Muslim community would read the prayers of the Jumme after two and a half in the afternoon. Before this, the festival of Holi must have ended. Apart from this, the prayers of Jumme will be recited within the mosques. The Holika combustion site will be in Mangalpadav. A sufficient amount of male and women police force will be installed in the said venue.
SP City Prakash Chandra said, during religious events, the police force will deal with chaotic elements strictly. It was appealed that Zuma’s Namaz should be read not on the road but inside the mosques. If any person deliberately insults any religion, it will be strictly dealt with. Apart from this, set a time of Namaz in all mosques and Holi should be celebrated before that. During Holi, those who make race, race driving, drink driving will be strictly monitored. Social media monitoring will be done. All the police station heads were directed that adequate amounts of patrolling, pickets would be installed in their respective areas and appointing adequate amounts of police force in view of congestion in the markets. The meeting was attended by Kotwal Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Notification Inspector Jitendra Upreti, Banbhulpura Police Station Neeraj Bhakuni, Jal Sansthan, Electricity Department and Municipal Corporation officials and trade boards and others.
