Kanpur, Amrit thoughts. In HBTU, students will also get discipline numbers. The institute will take tough action on students scoring less than the standard fixed in discipline. The university administration is preparing a detailed guideline in this regard, which will be implemented from the new session.
In the meeting of HBTU’s Academic Council, the rule of imperative for students has been passed. Under this, the marks of Student General Proficiency have been introduced for students. Dean Academics Prof. Lalit Kumar Singh said that apart from studies, it will now be mandatory for students to pass 50 marks discipline examination. 50 digits are divided into a category of 20, 20 and 10 digits.
Apart from discipline, students will also get marks of extra curricular activities in addition to discipline. The Chief Proctor will have 10 marks of discipline for 10, extra curricular activities and 20 marks of discipline for students living in Day Scholar-Hostel.
It has been decided that in 20 marks, students will be mandatory to score minimum 15 and 10 marks. Strict action will be taken on students who do not do so. This rule will apply to students of all year from 2025-26 session. According to Dean, there will also be an audit of students in the institute. Its 50 marks have been fixed.
